Soccer Mission Trip to PA and OH
From June 19-July 3rd 2022 we took our first cross-cultural mission trip from Ambassadors Football Dallas to Pittsburgh and Cleveland to serve alongside the Ambassadors Football offices there. The group consisted of 8 young people and 2 adults. It was an amazing time in Pittsburgh where God enabled us to help launch new ministry. In the morning we ran a soccer clinic for a Nepalese refugee community, in the afternoon we served a local refugee family through building them a new fence and in the evening we played games with local teams. From our time in Pittsburgh we travelled to Cleveland. During our time there we attended the Ambassadors soccer ministry training course where over 90 coaches from 20 nationalities were trained and inspired to use soccer as a platform to reach people throughout the US and beyond.
Dallas Camps 2022 – 8 camps / 6 churches / 258 campers reached / 45 coaches involved
We launched the ministry of Ambassadors Football with 8 soccer camps in partnership with 6 churches in the Dallas area. We served campers in the ages 4-12 from Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-noon and it was a blast. Throughout the week of camp the campers developed their ability to play soccer and gained a Biblical worldview through the toward the goal curriculum. Many families and campers shared at the end of camp with the Christian mentor coaches how much they have enjoyed their first Ambassadors experience and they can’t wait until next year. Dallas and Beyond
The launch of the ministry of Ambassadors Football Dallas has already led to reach beyond Dallas through our first camp in Austin. 88 campers participated for the first time in the Ambassadors Soccer Camp. We were hosted by Austin Ridge Bible Church. We had coaches from Dallas travel to Austin to join the local coaches from Austin to put on a great camp, that was so well received that the church is talking about hosting another camp next year with another church campus.
